I'm on a mission
I chose the name Pictures4Prosperity because I wanted a name that would reflect my goals in starting a business. I take pictures; donate 30% of my profit to Save the Children. By donating to this organization I am helping bring some form of prosperity to children across the globe.
I have always had a strong passion for photography and wanting to help make a difference in the lives of children. Who better then to invest our time, love and energy into then the future of today’s young souls? The urge to combine these two passions became even stronger when I gave birth to my first daughter. I realized that I had no greater desire then to be with my little girl all the time. There is no greater joy for me than getting to be a full time care giver to my children. If it weren't for my commitment to soak up every second of my daughters lives and making a pledge to myself that the majority of their care would come from me; I would be actively following my passion for helping others wherever it would take me. I had often dreamed of joining the peace core or something of that regard, but those dreams ceased to exist after I became pregnant and realized that I had an overwhelming need to be by my child’s side as much as possible. Having my daughters and pledging to be their main care provider keeps me home bound and limits my time as to how I can go about actively enrolling the majority of my time in helping children. Being home bound with my little ones, I am not giving up on my need to try and improve the lives of other little ones. That is why, before I started my business I decided I was going to donate whatever I could to an organization that works on improving the lives of children. My hopes in building my business is not to line my pockets with more money, but to make it possible for me to donate more money to Save the Children.
I believe that we all have good in us, I also believe that we all have good intentions. I know from personal experience, that lots of times those good intentions remain as just intentions. I personally have lots of wonderful intentions to do many wonderful things, then the hectic craziness of life, work and family get in the way and those intentions that I had planned on acting on never get acted on. If you’ve had intentions of donating something (whether it be time or money) to helping others, but, the craziness of life inhibited those wonderful intentions, maybe having portraits taken by me who will donate 30% of the proceeds to an organization, who dedicates time and resources while advocating love for the helpless, is perhaps a way of making those intentions a reality.
Whenever I am asked to take pictures of someone, I become overwhelmed with a deep sense of honor. When someone entrusts me with the task of capturing, beautiful, timeless, portraits of their loved ones, I am overwhelmed with a sense of privilege and joy. One of my greatest pleasures is to see someone’s joyous and excited reaction with a picture that I have taken. With every photo shoot I am privileged with, with every person who asks me to take pictures of them, I strive to give that person pictures that will bring them an enthusiastic reaction of joy and incomprehensible satisfaction of knowing they have pictures they will love and cherish for a life time.
If you are interested in experiencing the excitement, joy and appreciation that my past clients have experienced when reviewing their portraits AND you would also like to donate money to a wonderful organization that works on improving the lives of children, then I’d love to hear from you.
